LumpenNationalismus

I'm no slum landlord, claims SNP housing campaigner Jahangir Hanif.

According to the Daily Record, "the SNP's Jahangir Hanif rents out a two-bedroomed flat to a family of Romanians in Westmoreland Street which is considered so bad that locals have nicknamed it 'Ground Zero'."

He didn't mention the flat at a residents' meeting, because "he wasn't given enough time to raise it". Although he did have enough time to promise to bring Nicola Sturgeon to see the street.

Apparently it's quite a nice flat really, for the area. "Clean and basic", the Record says.

It's just the close and the rest of the building that's mingin'. And the rest of the street.

"It is a bad property, they all are in the street," he said. But "it's not a slum in 100 per cent sense."

Oh, so that's OK then. Maybe just 99% ?
