Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows, and while still using personal observation and maintaining a network of informants, I have to say it's a lot easier to check out the dark recesses of men's souls than it used to be, thanks to improvements in search technology, RSS feeds, and Google News and Blog Alerts.
So for natwatch, I regularly wade through the morass of dark tales reporting the activities of the SNP. Generally this is a depressingly wretched task and I am easily led astray by more interesting items about SNPs that have nothing to do with fishy sounding leaders, but occasionally even our piscine pals provide a little "sol y sombra" relief.
For example, from a website that is dedicated to openness and transparency, we have this remarkably unenlightening entry ...
Alex Salmond’s Letter : Asked whether Downing Street had received the letter from Alex Salmond that had appeared in some Sunday newspapers, the PMS said that he could confirm that we had received a letter of today’s date. He added that as far as we were concerned, we had no intention of putting it into the public domain so it was a private letter. Asked if Downing Street had responded to it, the PMS said that it would have to be looked at and we would then consider what response there would be. It was a letter on a subject that related to the letter that appeared to have been given to some of the Sunday newspapers of a previous day’s date, which we did not appear to have received. Put that it was not necessarily the same letter, the PMS reiterated that it was a letter on a similar subject, but it did not appear to be exactly the same letter as people had read about in the Sunday newspapers.
And here's a link to a photo from a bygone age of fashion ...
As for the other SNPs, there has been lots of market interest in SNP Corp, a Singapore based printer of books, magazines and packaging products; and Shenandoah National Park looks a nice place to visit.
