I note that support is being solicited for the following petition: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/McKelvie/
We the undersigned note the appearance of Christina McKelvie MSP on Newsnight Scotland on 23 April 2008; congratulate her on agreeing to take part in a discussion on the SNP's Scottish Futures Trust despite clearly not having the slightest inkling of what she was going to say; note Ms McKelvie's valiant attempt to read from a crib-sheet in front of her, which resulted in her blurting out an erroneous figure of £500 billion; commend Newsnight Scotland's Gordon Brewer for his restraint and for eventually taking pity on her; believe the programme to have been the finest light entertainment on the BBC in a generation; consider that it should be a requirement of the BBC Charter that Ms McKelvie is a guest on Newsnight Scotland at least three days a week; regret that there are millions of Scots who did not see the programme on 23 April and therefore call on the BBC to ensure that it is placed permanently on BBC iPlayer so that private profiteers do not profit from the sale of unauthorised copies of the programme.
